The BDC is one of the largest diabetes institutes in the world, specializing in type 1 diabetes (T1D) research and care for children and adults.
Key Insights:
The platform’s original design was cluttered, lacked cohesion, and obscured critical brand connections. Health care providers were not fully leveraging the platform’s tools due to poor navigation and complex messaging. The PANTHER platform needed a clear brand presence, simple access to resources, and better visibility for the credibility of the Barbara Davis Center and its leadership.
Positioning and Strategy:
We trademarked the tagline “Diabetes Technology. Deciphered.” The homepage was transformed into a strategic marketing tool highlighting the platform’s purpose, key applications, and expert backing. The entire platform was redesigned and reprogrammed for intuitive navigation, improved user experience, and streamlined access to educational content.
Design and Execution:
We modernized the platform with a distinct identity, consistent color palette, and clear typography. The new tagline was featured prominently, while the educational materials were fully redesigned for simplicity and effectiveness. Interactive in-clinic tools were created for immediate application.
Outcome:
The redesigned PANTHER platform significantly improved user engagement, making it easier for health care providers to access educational resources on diabetes technology. The streamlined navigation and branded tools led to more than a 60% increase in platform usage and cemented the program as a go-to resource for providers seeking authoritative information on diabetes technology.
