The next generation owners wanted to reposition the brand from an “old-school” manufacturer to a premium artisanal brand, while still honoring the company’s European heritage. The previous brand name had no equity in a retail landscape, and the focus needed to shift toward organic and wild game ingredients.
Positioning and Strategy:
We renamed the brand CHARCUTNUVO, reflecting the fusion of tradition and innovation. The tagline “Redefining Classic Charcuterie” underscored the new direction — a “NUVO” take on charcuterie.
Design and Execution:
The identity system featured bold packaging with a black backdrop and vibrant typography, emphasizing the product’s premium nature. We developed promotional and endcap signage that told the brand’s story, alongside a series of ads that gave the brand a playful, modern personality.
Outcome:
The rebranding of Continental Sausage to CharcutNuvo successfully modernized the company’s image while maintaining its artisanal heritage. Within the first year, CharcutNuvo saw a significant increase in sales, expanded its retail presence into new high-end grocery chains, and became recognized as a premium charcuterie brand, appealing to both traditionalists and modern foodies alike.
